Following
his departure from engine and accessories sponsors Modelix, former
1/8th Nitro Buggy World Champion, Robert Batlle has teamed up with
Italian company Picco. The record Spanish national champion will power
his Mugen buggies using Picco’s competition nitro engines and he has the
following to say about the deal:
The TORQUE .21 EMX-GT CER touring racing engine has been designed to fit the latest 1/8th GT chassis. The Torque .21 EMX-GT
engine comes with a long stroke concept to improve even more low and
mid range acceleration.
The components have been 'hand modified' by Edoardo Picco using his extensive experience and thousand of hours of testing.
This EMX engine has a known reputation for it's great fuel mileage, while producing great performance and great reliability.
The TORQUE .21 EMX-GT CER is supplied with: a balanced 14mm 'turbo' silicone-filled crankshaft for improved fuel flow and reduced weight , super aligned 'knife edged' aerodynamic connecting rod , hand finished hard chromed brass liner , hand modified rear back plate for improved fuel flow, lightened CNC machined piston made from high percentage silicone alloy billet, large size finned turbo combustion chamber insert for better heat dissipation, bigger ultra light weight cooling head, ceramic Swiss quality 14mm main bearing and a composite slide carburetor with venturi inserts.
